While moving on from Waterbury VT to Brandon VT, we saw a sign for Warren Falls in the Green Mountain National Forest.
We love waterfalls and finding random places while traveling around, so we decided to stop for a while to check it out.
This was a great decision as Warren Falls is fantastic.

The parking lot has a small noticeboard with a little more information about the falls and the local area.

The falls themselves are only a short walk from the parking lot.

There are several different overlooks at Warren Falls, along with several different routes down to the water.

Here’s a video that gives a better idea of how beautiful it is at Warren Falls.
We visited in May, so the water was still fairly cold. That didn’t stop people from swimming and jumping in from a couple of the cliffs/rock faces.

Some sections of the water below were quite shallow, so we decided to make our way over to the other side. The current was surprisingly strong though, so I had to carry Truffles across as she’s not as big as some of the other dogs that were there.

Be careful when crossing the stones as some of them are incredibly slippery.
I can imagine it’s a wonderful place to go for a dip later in the summer once the water’s even warmer.
We enjoyed our visit to Warren Falls so much, we returned a couple of days later. Shae was feeling much more brave this time, so she considered jumping from the cliff into the water below.

That thinking about jumping in turned into actual jumping in. I went below to take a video of her jumping in, but slipped and fell on the slippery rocks while holding Truffles, so figured it was safer taking the video from up on the ledge.
And here’s the jump from Shae’s perspective as she strapped on the GoPro.
I originally had zero plans of jumping in as I thought the water would be icy. Slipping in the water gave me no excuse though as it meant I was soaked and it wasn’t anywhere near as cold as I thought it’d be – it seemed to have warmed up in the couple of days since we’d previously visited.
I therefore thought about jumping in.

I thought about it a little more…

…and thought about it a little more.

In the end…I didn’t do it. The ledge doesn’t look very high when you’re looking at it from below, but it feels much higher when you’re standing on it. Maybe one day I’ll be as brave as Shae!
Still, we had a great time visiting Warren Falls and highly recommend it if you’re ever in Vermont. It’s in central Vermont, so you shouldn’t need to drive more than an hour or two no matter where you are in the state.

Shae is brave. What’s frightening is you don’t know if you will hit a rock or not and break your neck.
Yep, that’s exactly what I was paranoid about! We’d already seen several people jump in, but I was still too nervous about hitting the bottom.
That’s awesome … you go girl!
