Shae and I love finding Thomas Dambo’s trolls all around the world. These are massive sculptures he’s constructed using recycled wood and there are more than 150 of them worldwide.
When we were in Jackson, Wyoming recently, we got to visit one of his trolls there – Mama Mimi. It’s not as easy to find her as some of his other trolls because she’s not labeled on Google Maps at the time of publishing this post.
I therefore wanted to write this post sharing how to find Mama Mimi in Jackson, WY.
Mama Mimi is located in R Park, a park that’s six miles west of downtown Jackson. Here’s her location on Google Maps to make it easier for you to find her.

When we arrived in R Park (apparently also known as Rendezvous Park), we drove down the road to the loop parking lot at the end. In front of us was a large pond; walk along the path on the right hand side of this pond.

Hidden behind the tall trees you can see in the above photo you’ll come upon Mama Mimi looking out at the water in front of her.

Although she’s a troll, she has a friendly, welcoming face with her arms outstretched either side of her and her right leg stretched out in front.

Mama Mimi was the 80th troll Dambo built. He created it – along with some helpers – back in 2021 after it was commissioned by Jackson Hole Public Art.

It was fun getting to share this with Shae’s dad and Truffles enjoyed coming along for the ride too.
