We’ve gotten quite a few ideas of things to do on our 50 state road trip from Cassie who writes Sites & Bites. For example, the first place we heard about Rattlesnake Saloon in Tuscumbia AL was on her post about stuff to do in North Alabama.
Cassie and her husband were recently visiting family in Wisconsin while we were staying in nearby Wausau, so we met up halfway for dinner at Arbuckles Eatery & Pub in Stevens Point. It was a beautiful evening out, so we asked for a table on their patio area.
Arbuckles has a fun Marathon of Beers for regular customers. You get a punch card and once you’ve tried all 27 beers on the list, you get a prize. If you complete 10 marathons, you get a personalized mug and discounted draft beers in the future.

Although we were seated straight away, no server came over to take our order. After about 20 minutes, Shae ended up getting the attention of one of the servers who sent someone straight over.
Seeing as we were in Stevens Point, I decided to get a Stevens Point Milkshake Malt Porter which was pretty tasty, while Shae got a pear and blackberry cider.
Due to the delay in the server coming over, we’d had plenty of time to check out their food menu.

Cassie and Andrew had eaten at Arbuckles Eatery & Pub before and said the pizza and burgers were good. Shae and I both ended up going for sandwiches though – I ordered the blackened salmon BLT which was excellent. The salmon was cooked nicely, the French bread was soft and tasty, while the pesto mayo complemented it perfectly.

Shae went for the steak sandwich and asked for it to be cooked medium rare. It was cooked just right and was apparently also tasty.

All the burgers and sandwiches are served with a dill pickle spear, but don’t come with any other sides. I wasn’t hungry enough to add a full side for myself, so Shae ordered a side of fries and I had a few.
For dessert, Shae got a slice of strawberry cheesecake which was also very good. She could only eat half of it; even though I was pretty full, there’s no way I’d let perfectly good cheesecake go to waste and so I polished it off.

Final Thoughts
Shae and I both enjoyed our meals at Arbuckles Eatery & Pub in Stevens Point, Wisconsin and loved getting to finally meet Cassie and Andrew.
Our meals were very good, especially my salmon BLT – I’d highly recommend getting that. The meals are a teeny bit pricey considering sides aren’t included, but it’s still a nice place to eat in Stevens Point.
