All of our travel – both our 50 state road trip and anything overseas – is self-funded.
We don’t write sponsored posts on behalf of brands or accept free trips from hotels or tourist boards. That’s because we want to be completely independent and impartial when it comes to our travel reviews.
We’re therefore traveling on a limited budget which reduces the amount of cool stuff we’re able to review. If you’d like to see more great content here on No Home Just Roam, there are several ways you can support us.
The great thing is that none of these will cost you any money. In fact, the cashback portals listed below will earn you money if you’re not already taking advantage of them.
Here’s how you can support what we do:
1) Read Our Posts
This helps in a couple of ways. First of all, it’s a huge motivation to keep writing when we see how many people are reading the site.
Secondly, we earn a (very) small amount of money for every article you read on the site – probably about $0.002 per post – due to the ads you see. The more you read, the more we earn, as it takes about 500 page views to earn $1.
2) Share Our Posts
This helps in the same ways we listed above. It’s incredibly satisfying when you share our posts on Facebook, Twitter, etc. as it means we’re producing something you’re enjoying and getting value from.
It also helps increase the number of people visiting the site which means we earn the extra ~$0.002 per post that they read.
3) Shop On Amazon
Any time we link to something on Amazon, it contains an affiliate link. That means if you click through to their site using one of our links and then buy something, Amazon pays us a small commission for referring you.
It doesn’t cost you anything – it comes out of Amazon’s profits instead. So if you’re ever planning on buying something on Amazon, you can support us by clicking through to them using this link.
4) Earn Cashback
Anytime you order something online, there’s a good chance that you can get a percentage of that cost back by using a cashback portal.
There are many different portals you can use; the best way to check which one has the best rate for a retailer is to compare using Cashback Monitor.
We use several different cashback portals ourselves based on which one pays the most. All of these have referral programs – that means they pay us a small amount if you go through our links below, sign up for an account and earn cashback with them.
If you’re planning on signing up at one or more of them, we’d therefore greatly appreciate it if you used our links. Similar to Amazon, it doesn’t cost you anything and I think sometimes you might even get a bonus yourself for being referred, although that varies.
We’ve received payments several times from each of the portals listed below, so they’re all legit. There are many other portals out there (as you’ll see on Cashback Monitor) but we’ve never used them so I can’t recommend them.
